Jacob is a musician, composer and producer from Narrm/Melbourne, Australia, who performs live ambient electronic music under the artist name, Puscha.

Jacob produces spacious, minimalist soundscapes and musical impressions, and has scored soundtracks for award winning films, utilizing a collection of various electronic, electric and acoustic instruments. Taking wide influence from abstract modernism to kosmiche and world music, their music explores spatial and psychoacoustic modalities, with the aim of provoking catharsis and deeper listening.

Jacob also has a background in filmmaking with a Masters in Film Producing from the Victorian College of the Arts, and a passion for the natural world with concerns around preservation and conservation. They have worked on projects that reflect these values, such as working as a producer with Sea Shepherd on their 11th Southern Ocean anti-whaling campaign in Antarctica in 2016, and performed as part of an International Eco-Cultural Tour in Mongolia in 2019, in support of protecting Lake Khovsgol.

The natural world is deeply influential to Jacob's creative practices, which they bring to an audience through the use of minimalist documentary footage captured from around the world as projections that back their live performances, combining their film and music disciplines. They hope that through their art they may inspire action in looking after our world and giving voice to those who should be heard.

I acknowledge the rightful owners of the land on which I live and create, the Wurundjeri people who lived and continue to live here since time began. I pay my deep respects to their elders, past, present and emerging.
